How we choose our suppliers 

At Home by Auk, we believe every piece of furniture and decor has a story to tell. Our mission isn't just about providing beautiful items for your home, it's about creating a collection that reflects diverse cultures, craftsmanship, and ethical practices. But I can imagine that you are curious about how & why we select our suppliers.

Choosing suppliers is a constant process. We're always on the lookout for brands that resonate with our values: quality, uniqueness, and sustainability. Whether we are on holiday in Bali, walking down the streets of India, driving with the car through Spain or visiting family in Holland. We are always on the lookout for unique brands and people behind it, to select those brands for our interior store in Valencia.

Hand-Picked & ethically crafted

One of the cornerstones of our selection process is the emphasis on hand-picked, mostly fair-trade products. We strive to collaborate with artisans and companies that prioritize fair wages and sustainable practices.

Take Dharmadoor, for instance. Their exquisite range of handcrafted doormats and homewares not only style your home but also supports skilled artisans in India, where every creation is a celebration of traditional craftsmanship.

Then there's Bukit & Soul, a beautiful brand from Bali, Indonesia. We stumbled on this amazing clothing line when we were on holiday. The craftmanship and eye for detail for every aspect of the clothing are amazing. 

Another brand is People of the Sun. Their stunning pieces are a testament to Malawian craftsmanship, supporting local artisans and communities through employment and fair trade! An example are those beautiful chairs. 

And let's not forget Ay Illuminate, whose lighting designs are born from a fusion of Dutch design and traditional craftsmanship from Asia and Africa. Each lamp tells a story of cultural exchange and sustainable collaboration.

Every brand we feature brings something special to the table. It's a blend of culture, creativity, and conscientiousness. We want to offer things that are not just beautiful but also meaningful, with each piece adding a unique touch to your home.
